The App Store - Uber

The App Store is an under utilized conversion channel. After a year of testing all kinds of variables on the channel, I pitched the idea of creating some original content specially to refresh the app store. The idea was to create a single user journey in the form of a panorama that we could use across all five screens in the store. The hypothesis was that seeing a singular narrative would get people to scroll across all the screens more and would then drive installs. It worked. The Uber App Store gained over 250k installs in the first quarter after the new design went live. I hired a photographer named Stian Rasmussen for the shoot and he did an amazing job with our talent.
